Positively Proud to 3D Print Grant Funded Project
2019: Obtained a grant for $500.00 to purchase filament for the school 3D printer. Fourth and fifth grade students learned to use TinkerCad to design using engineering and math skills, then 3D printed their designs.

In 2017 I received a grant from MACUL for $1,500 to purchase LittleBits electronic kits for my technology classroom. I presented a poster session at the 2018 MACUL conference as well.

Michigan Council For History Education Teacher of the Year Award2009-2010 I was awarded The Michigan Council for History Education's Teacher of the Year Award (Nominated by Dr. Jim McConnell). On November 4, 2009 I presented at the MCHE conference a lesson on using primary sources for the Library of Congress.
Click here to see the lesson on analyzing primary source advertisements from Michigan. I have published a webpage for MCHE containing all of the lessons created under a grant from the Library of Congress on using primary source documents. |
2008-2009 I wrote for a grant from Target and they have awarded our Elms Road Elementary third grade classes $800 towards our field trip expenses to Crossroads Village!
