Master's of Educational Technology & Master's of Education
About MeI am a teacher with a passion for educational technology! I love using my creativity and knowledge to share educational information with educators using instructional technologies. I taught online kindergarten during the 2020-2021 school year, have experience teaching K-5 technology and art, and have classroom experience teaching kindergarten, first grade, and third grade. I have a Master's of Educational Technology degree from Michigan State. I hold a Master’s of Education degree from Marygrove College, and I received my B.S. in English and Elementary Education from the College of New Jersey, where my husband and I resided while he was in the Air Force. Prior to my teaching experiences in Michigan, I worked at an educational science company, where I taught hands-on science activities to students in grades K-8 at various schools in NJ.

I want to be the person who provides the right combination of educational technology tools and learning expertise that will inspire innovation and creativity, leading to the development of exceptional, effective, engaging learning experiences. As many teachers and students transition to online environments, they will need to learn best practices and develop solutions for learning experiences in the area of learning management systems, video conferencing, screencasting, video publishing, research, and assessment. I am skilled in these types of instructional technologies. Educators will need to learn how to implement best pedagogy into learning in online or blended environments, allowing students opportunities to demonstrate knowledge and skills. I believe that my growth mindset allows me to be an asset in working together with a team to help educators grow their teaching practice.
MissionIt is my mission as a teacher to give every one of my learners an effective experience, and to motivate each learner to do his or her best. I plan to provide opportunities and experiences that will enable them to develop strategies and skills that enable positive learning experiences.

Educational PhilosophyI call my philosophy the, "Whatever Works Wins!" philosophy, because I believe that it is my job to discover the learning style or tool that works best for each learner and motivate them to do their best.
|
Educational Technology PhilosophyI believe that technology can be used in correlation with what teachers know about best teaching practice, to inspire and give students optimal learning experiences. Both education and technology are constantly changing, therefore it is important to be innovative and creative through instructional design, to allow students to overcome barriers with educational solutions through technology.
